New Spanish-Language Radio Ads Highlight Representatives De La Cruz, Ciscomani, & Hurd’s Support for Cutting Medicaid to Give Tax Cuts to Billionaires

Today, Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund (ATFAF) relaunched six figure Spanish language radio ads informing constituents of Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-6th), Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15th), and Congressman Jeff Hurd (CO-3rd) about the disastrous impacts the Trump Tax Bill would have on their communities. The bill would cut billions of dollars from critical programs that working and middle-class people rely on, redirecting those funds to tax cuts for billionaires. In Texas’s 15th congressional district, around 180,000 people depend on Medicaid and 57,000 on SNAP. In Colorado’s third congressional district, approximately 194,000 people rely on Medicaid and 45,000 on SNAP. In Arizona’s 6th Congressional district, 186,000 people depend on Medicaid and 45,000 on SNAP.

“Trump and his GOP allies in Congress are rushing through this disastrous bill to give massive handouts to their billionaire and corporate donors at the expense of their constituents before anyone notices,” said David Kass, ATFAF Executive Director. “Constituents deserve to know what their representatives in Washington are doing and how this tax bill will affect their lives. Cutting vital programs like Medicaid and SNAP will drive up healthcare and food costs for millions of workers and families—all to enrich the GOP’s billionaire donors at our expense. We urge all Americans to stand up and tell their elected representatives to oppose this deeply harmful bill.”

Previously, ATFAF launched bilingual digital and Spanish radio ads in these three districts from May 21st to June 13th, reaching millions of Latino constituents. This new round of ads will run from June 23rd through July 18th.
